Senior Consultant (Inpatient, OR, ED & IT)
Salary range: $81,400K – $120,250K annual
EMPATH Consulting is a leading healthcare consulting company specializing in acute hospital operations change management. We spearhead broad-scale, enterprise-wide operational transformation projects at hospitals and multi-hospital systems, introducing new information technology and dashboard delivery systems, specializing in Emergency Departments, Perioperative Services, and Inpatient Units.
We are seeking full-time Healthcare Senior Consultants with a proven track record in operational improvement using leading edge technology to join our project team at different client hospital sites throughout the country.
Responsibilities:
- Learning EMPATH's unique and proprietary methodologies for healthcare operational transformation
- Ensuring successful completion of project deliverables
- Working closely in partnership with the Project Manager in running client meetings, training and monitoring hospital staff
- Providing consistent flawless work product under the supervision of the Project Manager
- Perioperative, Inpatient and/or Emergency department consulting
- Mentoring the Staff Consultant in work product for learning delivery systems, dashboard delivery systems, real time monitoring systems, and change management under the supervision of the Project Manager
- Defining the consulting model required for EMPATH
- Work with the Project Manager to analyze current process and propose change to existing systems
- Interacting with all levels of the client management team to ensure successful completion of the project
- Monitor actual performance against schedule
Qualifications:
- Five to six years executive level healthcare consulting experience
- Expert knowledge of Perioperative Services, Inpatient, or Emergency departments and process improvement
- Extensive experience in managing clients and large scale complex work flow redesign projects
- Relevant experience working on a consulting engagement which utilized methodologies and metrics similar to EMPATH projects
- Excellent communication skills: writing, interviewing, persuading, selling and presenting
- Comfortable with using, analyzing, and improving innovative software technologies
- Ability to multi-task and constantly prioritize and organize
- Ability to generate, analyze, and interpret complex data and concepts
- Ability and disposition to teach and learn from clients, peers and
- External consulting and/or project management, or RN leadership experience preferred
- Understanding of computerized data flow and use of technologies to improve processes preferred
Education Requirements:
- BA, Business or Healthcare Administration, BS in Nursing or BSN from an accredited college or university
- Master's Degree in a healthcare field (MSN, MPH, MPA, MBA, or equivalent) from an accredited college or university preferred
Computer Skills Required:
- Strong computer skills required in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Sharepoint Services
Travel Expectations:
- You can expect 80% travel during project duration
- Work is 3-4 days at client site and Friday at home
- Relocation is NOT required for this position
- Travel expenses to and from client site, car rental, etc. will be reimbursed in addition to a per diem
