Andy Veliz has over 25 years of technical, managerial and executive level leadership experience in the healthcare industry. With EMPATH since May 2009 as Sr. Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Client Relationship Executive, Andy is responsible for the overall client relationship and smooth resolution of issues during and after implementation of EMPATH products. Andy works closely with the Process and Technology Program Managers, directing them in their execution of implementation-specific tasks, and facilitating issue resolution. Andy also is a client liaison on all matters related to EMPATH applications, and manages the technical interface development.

Andy has held various positions at hospitals, ranging from Computer Operator to Data Center/Network Manager, CIO, Technology Director and Sr. Consultant for a well known consulting firm. Andy also has experience working for a major hospital software development company in R&D, QA, Project Management, Implementation, Client Support, and Client Relationships.

Andy came to EMPATH after nine years with Cerner Corporation in the Bridge Medical Patient Safety Division where he served as its Technology Director and as the Client Relationship Executive for over 45 hospitals nationwide. In this role, Andy was liaison between Client, Implementation Team and Research and Development for Cerner's Bridge Medical Patient Safety products (MedAdmin, Transfusion, and Specimens Collection). Andy led the team that placed Cerner as a #1 in KLAS for Medication Administration Error Prevention at the point of care. This achievement was repeated five times and recognized by clients and competitors alike.

Prior to joining Cerner Corporation, Andy was a Sr. Consultant at First Consulting Group in their technology division and Sr. Business Management division. As part of this division, Andy held positions at hospitals and client sites such as Director of Applications, Technical Director, Development Director and Sr. Program Manager.
